Founder President
The Founder president of the IIC- Professor Louis P. F. Smith is Emeritus Professor of Economics (International Trade) and was Economic and Banking Consultant of Allied Irish Banks, the largest bank in Ireland, to the National Farmers Association and other bodies. He was Chairman of the Irish Council of the European Movement and of the Irish Council for Overseas Students. He is author of Evolution of Agricultural Co-operation, Basil Blackwell, Oxford-1961, Elementary Economics (with Dr. Norton), U.C.D. Folens 1963, with various other articles in and books on socio-economic developments in Europe. Professor Smith's determination is to broaden economic and cultural relations between two countries.

The Chairman of the IIC is Mr. Patrick Dillon Malone. His qualifications are in European Law. Patrick is fluent in German, French, Spanish and Italian. He is practicing Barrister since 1993.
Vice President (India)
Vice President (India) is Ms. Aparna Shukla, former Associate Professor of obstetrics in Cancer Hospital and Research Institute, Gwalior, M. P. India. Presently she is providing her services in the field of Maternal and Child Health to VHI. Ms. Shukla also worked for UNICEF in developing their modules in India. She has conducted and performed various stage shows . She is highly motivated in promotion and exchange of the culture between Ireland and India.

Carol Fawsitt is a Partner in Hayes solicitors and is Head of the Employment Law Department. She established her own practice Fawsitt, Solicitors in 1987 specialising in Employment Law and merged her practice with Hayes in December 2006. She combines a busy successful practice with appointments to public and private bodies. She was a Board Member of the Equality Authority and Chairman of the Authority’s Legal Committee from 1998 to 2007. She was appointed by the President of the High Court as a member of the Disciplinary Tribunal of the High Court in 2000 and has just completed her second term chairing divisions. She lectured to the Law Society of Ireland and was a Tutor to the Society's Law School on Employment Law. She continues to lecture to HR professionals, Lawyers and employers on current workplace issues and best practice. She has almost 30 years extensive experience advising and representing both employees and employers, companies, trade unions and staff associations on all contentious employment issues arising from the workplace. She has represented employees in some of Ireland’s leading employment cases in both the High and Supreme Courts. Carol has a particular expertise in relation to education and the teaching profession in Ireland, whilst also advising professionals in relation to regulatory and recognition issues. Carol is a Senior Partner in Hayes solicitors (established in 1840 – www.hayes-solicitors.ie) which is a progressive law firm operating in Dublin. It provides a comprehensive range of legal services to corporate, public and private clients on the international and domestic stage. Its particular expertise is in the areas of Business / Commercial / IP / Employment / Media / Healthcare /Family and Property law.

Prashant Shukla is the CEO at the East West Commercial Enterprises Limited. EWCEL is bridging horizons for trade between Europe and Asia. Company has launched a range of smart technology products and services that ensures commercial success in energy, gas and water metering and data management. He also serves as the Honorary Director of the Ireland-India Council (IIC), it is quasi chamber of commerce to facilitate economic and commercial operations of its member companies and individuals between Ireland and India. Prior to East West Commercial Enterprises Limited Prashant worked in ABC Limited at executive level, ABC manufactures and distributes variety of health and food products in Ireland. In 20002 Prashant arrived in Ireland from India with over 8 years work experience in the field of public relations and projects management. Mr Prashant Shukla’s qualifications are in International Law & Diplomacy, Developmental Studies, and Business Management. Prashant holds his primary degree in biological science, and a fellow of Salzburg Global Seminar. In 2007 Prashant is appointed in the Board of the Integration Centre of Ireland. It is an institution which monitors integration of the various communities in Ireland. He is also appointed in the Board of the PARTAS in 2008, which manage, develop and maintain enterprise centres for the entrepreneurs, to provide affordable real estate to the factories and companies in support of local enterprise and act as focal points for entrepreneurial training. In 2010 Ms Mary White TD, Minister for Equality, Human Rights, and Integration appointed Mr Shukla as a member of the Ministerial Council for Integration.

Mr. Sailesh Burada holds M.B.A degree and has extensive Consulting experience in New Business Development and Business Strategy. Prior to his Irish career, Sailesh has 10+ years of experience spanning the breadth and depth of Indian terrain with different industries and academic institutions. Since 2002, he has associated with IBM Ireland as a Business Analyst and living in Dublin.

Mr. John Kearns is the Chief Executive of Partas. Prior to taking up his current position in late 2000, he had spent the previous five years engaging his own entrepreneurial flair in the music business with resounding success and multi-platinum awards. His own qualifications are in the financial services sector and he spent many years in senior management within the Hibernian Group. He is an elected representative of the Economic Development Working Group of the County Development Board and of the Economic Development (Planning and Development) Strategic Policy Committee of the South Dublin County Council. John is married with three children and lives in Terenure.

Ms Loreto Redmond has been living in Tallaght for most of her life. She is a Dual Qualified Nurse who took a change of career and went into the construction industry where she was Office Manager of a Transport Company. She holds a Cert. in Professional Competancy from the Dept. of Transport. She also holds a Diploma in Counselling, Psychology and Psychotherapy. She has recently achieved a CELT from ACELS to teach English as a foreign language. She has been involved in politics in a voluntary capacity since 1985 and holds a Certificate in Community Development and Leadership. She is well recognized as a community activist having been on Boards of Managements of schools and colleges. She is Secretary of one of the largest and active Cumann in the Tallaght area and has recently been elected as Secretary of the Dublin South West Comhairle Dail. She has experience of public-policy advocacy at local and national governments level. She has been involved in integration of foreign people into the community and has had students from various countries in her home. She is very determined and dedicated to any project she undertakes and has committed herself to the services and needs of IIC.

Dr Pramod Pathak is an experienced Mathematician and Computer Scientist, having worked in Higher Education and Software Industry for last 23 years. Currently he is Dean of School of Computing and responsible for providing leadership in all areas of the school. He has had a brilliant academic and industrial career and has received a number of Scholarships and award.
